Adam Lindo is acknowledged for his role as Carlos "Clitvack" Litvack in Netflix award-winning show "Orange Is The New Black." He also appeared in an ample amount of shows at the start of his career.
Adam gave up everything he knew, comfort, stability, and all that was called life for him to come to the city to be an actor. He auditioned for Anthony Abeson studio and got accepted without any training, to be developed.
Adam's commitment persisted through a grueling commuted 2 times a week, 4 sometimes 6 hours round trip for 2 years to New York City.
Something had to give, leaving behind a hard-earned full-time officer position and a 7-year successful barber career, He packed up left it all and moved to Hoboken to shorten his commute.
No idea, no money, his college loan piling up, his wife loan drowning them, he applied for multiple shops in Hoboken in hopes they would give him the ability to study and run to auditions.
After getting denied and working odd jobs, trying to save his marriage from financial struggles, sleeping on benches in parks after wars at home, he finally landed a barber position saving himself from losing his wife and dream.
With his life getting on track, his wife, Kerri, Thankfully staying around long enough for him to adapt to his surroundings and never truly giving up on Mr.
Lindo.
Adam finished with Anthony Abeson Studio and started pursuing everything he could learn about acting without adding to the immense debt that hovered over him and his wife.
He searched for classes that provide the knowledge that could help him develop his craft and stay within his budget. In that search, Adam found Larry Moss's Intensive and began to read his book "The intent to live" until the pages started to fall off the spine.
Adam, now dealing with the internal battle of "Am I Good," uncomfortable situations with representation, and lack of faith from anyone in the industry due to his lack of credentials, he decided to put it all on the line with a performance for Larry Moss.
What better way to know if you really have it then to work in front of one of the best?
Well, after his performance Larry without knowledge of Adam's intentions pulled Adam aside and whispered to him, "the world is missing out not having you on stage," And Adam cried those tears that come from a broken heart finally healed.
That same performance was witnessed by Bob Krakower the Renown on-set acting coach who that day, invited him into his class to Fine-tune his talent for Tv and Film and would be forever in debt.
Let's not forget Adam's weekly class with and Sean Folster and Karl Bury, who Adam considered a mentor to dive deeper into his experience every week and continues to do so.
Where Adam continues to work on his craft, spontaneity, and trusting the moment, himself and his love for exploring plays.
