Larissa was born in Brazil and moved to Vancouver, Canada when she was young. Larissa demonstrated an interest in acting, participating in several theatre productions locally and overseas.
Throughout high school she was enrolled in television production and theatre programs. After deciding to pursue acting as a career, she landed her first few roles on American TV series Falling Skies and Supernatural.
She was a recurring cast member of Hallmark's When Calls the Heart, for a handful of seasons. Aside from her training in film & theatre, Larissa has a Joint Bachelor's degree in Interactive Arts & Technology and Communications.
