Édouard Molinaro was born on May 13, 1928 in Bordeaux, Gironde, France as Édouard Camille Molinaro. He was a director and writer, known for The Birdcage (1996), La Cage aux folles (1978) and Beaumarchais l'insolent (1996).
He was married to Catherine Laporte, Marie-Hélène Breillat and Pierrette Carvallo. He died on December 7, 2013 in Paris, France.
